Hunting Applications for the 2012-2013 Hunting Season Deer Lottery, Youth Deer, Migratory Bird and General Hunting will be available starting Friday, June 1st, 2012 at the Grapevine Lake Office. Deer Hunting Permits may be submitted in person or printed from the website and submitted by mail at the Grapevine Lake Office. Successful Deer Permit applicants MUST pick up their permit in person by the person who is drawn . Deer Permits for the 2012-2013 season will not be mailed. If you were drawn for the 2011-2012 Deer Permit and did not return your hunting survey you are not eligible for the 2012-2013 Deer Permit drawing. You are still eligible for the Migratory Bird and General Hunting Permits.
Migratory Bird and General Hunting Permit applications MUST be submitted in person at the Grapevine Lake Office. You MUST have a valid ID, valid TPWD Hunting License and proof of Hunter Education in order to recieve a permit.
***Please remember that anyone hunting on federal property MUST wear clothing with a minimum of 400 square inches of blaze orange as well as blaze orange headgear. Hunters are allowed to take off blaze orange gear ONLY when actively hunting at a fixed location . The Recreation.gov website has an entirely new look with features including simplified search capabilities, enhanced content and streamlined Google maps. Visitors to the website can now do much more than make reservations for camping, tours and tickets at federal facilities. The Corps has almost 30,000 reservable campsites in Recreation.gov and there is a wealth of information about Corps water resources projects. More details on the new features added to the Recreation.gov website may be found under the “New Look! New Features!” Tab located at the top right hand corner of Recreation.gov home page. Murrell Park Day Use : The day use area is free of charge and on a first come first serve basis. Day use areas are also available at sites 9-23. Currently there are no fees charged for day use and boat launch.
