Facility Closure Report

The following facilities are closed due to flooding conditions/damages, seasonal closures, maintenance and construction activities, low lake levels, etc:
Due to low water levels Little Mustang Creek, Love Park, Mott Park and Waxahachie Creek Park Boat Ramps are closed. High View Park boat ramp is currently the only open boat ramp.
Seasonal Closures: Love Park and Mott Park.The Multi-Use trails are subject to closure after heavy or prolonged rainfall. Contact the lake office at 972-875-5711, Monday - Friday, 7:30-4:00 daily, for current trail information.
All courtesy docks are not usable.
Iron Bridge Park, McGregor Park, Winkler Park, Live Oak Park and White Flint Park boat ramps not usable.
* All boatramps except for the low water ramp at Mustang are closed.
* Westcreek Circle: Entire park closed for repairs.
* Rocky Creek Park: Entire Park is closed temporarily until further notice.
* Horse Trails: All trails are open, however the river trails are always quickly affected by any rain. Please note detours are in place on trail from Holiday campground gate trailhead to Tiger Trail.
* Marinas: For the status of the Benbrook Marina in Dutch Branch Park, please contact the marina directly at 817-249-1173. The marina in Rocky Creek Park is no longer in business; the marina area is closed to vehicles at this time.
– The following parks are closed for the Winter Season Each Year (October 1 - March 31): North Park, Canyon Park, Canyon Beach and Comal Park.
– Each December, parts of Potters Creek Park will be closed for seasonal wildlife management practices. Check with the lake office for the current dates and closure information for the park.
–Hancock Trail is subject to closure depending upon current weather conditions. When it has been raining and the parking area is muddy, the trail will be closed and gated .
–Due to low lake levels and current seasonal park closures, the following boat ramps are closed: 5, 7, 13, 16, 23.
There are currently no closures at Cooper Lake.
Cedar Breaks Park - Sites 36-61 Closed Annually from 11/1 – 3/1
Jim Hogg Park - Sites 79-148, S080, S122, S132, D092, D102, D110, D140 Closed Annually from 11/1 – 3/1
Russell Park - Sites 9-13, 20-27 & GS4, GS5 & Day Use area Closed Annually from 11/1 – 3/1
Tejas Park - Sites 1-6 Closed Annually from 11/1 – 3/1
Fishing docks and courtesy boat docks are closed due to low lake levels.
Wilson Fox Park:
Day Use Area & west boat ramp will be closed starting 1-Oct-2013 thru 31-Mar-2014.
Camping and Day Use Area will be closed starting 1-Oct-2013 thru 31-Mar-2014.
Friendship Park:Day Use Area and Beach Area closed starting 1-Oct-2013 thru 31-Mar-2014.
The following boat ramps are closed due to low lake levels:

The following boat ramps are open:
Sand bass Point
Campsites, all group shelters except for group shelter 6, and screen shelters are back up and can be reserved through NRRS.
We currently do not have any designated swim beaches at this time due to low lake level.
The only boat ramp and fishing pier that are open right now are the ones located at Friendship Park Day Use.
Flatrock Park is currently closed and will remain closed for Summer 2012.
All parks open.

Alley Creek and Brushy Creek Campground boat ramps are closed due to seasonal closures.
Johnson Creek Campground boat ramp is closed due to low lake levels.
All other boat ramps are open.
East Fork Park is open for camping.
Lavonia Park has been reopened for camping.
All Corps boat ramps are closed due to low lake level
Ticky Creek Park - Closed for the winter seasonAvalon Park - Closed for the winter season
Twin Groves is closed due to low lake levels.
Caddo Park is closed until further notice.
Bratonia Park is closed due to low lake levels.
Highland Park is closed due to low lake levels.
Mallard Park is closed due to low lake levels.
Pebble Beach Park is closed due to low lake levels.
Little Ridge low water ramp has been reopened.
Hickory Creek – Closed until contractors can be secured to reopen.
Westlake and Oakland Parks-Closed October 1, 2013 through March 31, 2014.
Doe Branch Access, Hidden Cove, Westlake Park, Oakland Parks, Hickory Creek Park, Oak Point Boat Ramp and Big Sandy Access are all closed due to low water levels.
|O.C. Fisher||All ramps are unusable due to low lake levels, except for the one nearest the dam where small boats can be launched. All other facilities open.|
Brushie Prairie Park and boat ramp is temporarily closed due to budget constraints.
HIGH POINT PARK: Park is closed. Day-use horse and hiking trail parking allowed at the main entrance.
Copperras Creek Day Use boat ramp is closed due to low lake levels.
All parks open.
Hanks Creek Campground is closed for maintenance. The closure is currently in place and will remain until January 3, 2014; depending on weather conditions allowing maintenance activities to occur.
Etoile and Ralph MacAllisterboat ramps are closed due to low lake levels.
All courtesy docks are not usable. The delineated beaches are not usable.
The following boat ramps at Somerville Lake are closed due to low lake level:
Rocky Creek Park #1
|Town Bluff Dam/B.A. Steinhagen Lake||All boat ramps are now open. Magnolia Ridge Park, Sandy Creek Park and Martin Dies, Jr. State Park are fully operational. Campers Cove camping area will remain closed until further notice.|
Airport Beach is closed for the winter.
LOFERS BEND WEST PARK: Boat Ramp closed due to low lake levels. Sites 10, 11, 12, 13, and 18 Screen Shelter sites closed due to construction.
There are currently no drought closures at Wright Patman Lake.
North Shore Park and Oak Park are closed for the season.
Piney Point Day Use/Ramp 1 is Still Open.
Rocky Point Campground D- Section is Closed for Season.
Clear Springs Park A-Section is Closed for Season.
Lower Spillway Park is Closed for Season.
